मुंबई: महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व गृह मंत्री अनिल देशमुख को लगभग 11 महीने बाद आज मंगलवार को बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट से जमानत मिल गई, लेकिन फिलहाल उन्हें जेल में ही रहना होगा।
ईडी की ओर से दर्ज केस में अनिल देशमुख को जमानत मिली है जबकि सीबीआई की ओर से दर्ज मामले में जांच जारी है, इसलिए उन्हें जेल में ही रहना होगा।
बता दें कि अनिल देशमुख मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के आरोप में पिछले कई महीनों से जेल में बंद हैं। यह मामला काफी समय से लंबित चल रहा था जिस पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट को एक हफ्ते के अंदर फैसला सुनाने का निर्देश दिया था। देशमुख के वकीलों ने उनके स्वास्थ्य का हवाला देते हुए अदालत के सामने जमानत याचिका दायर की थी।
ईडी ने अनिल देशमुख पर जो मामला दर्ज किया है उसमें दावा किया गया है कि देशमुख ने अपने पद का दुरुपयोग किया। देशमुख ने मुंबई के विभिन्न बार और रेस्तरां से करीब 4.7 करोड़ रुपये एकत्र किए। इसके साथ ही आरोप है कि देशमुख ने गलत तरीके से अर्जित धन को नागपुर स्थित श्री साईं शिक्षण संस्थान को मुहैया कराया, जो उनके परिवार के जरिए नियंत्रित एक शैक्षिक ट्रस्ट है।

Anil Deshmukh has got bail in the case registered by the ED, while the investigation is going on in the case registered by the CBI, so he will have to remain in jail.
Please tell that Anil Deshmukh is in jail for the last several months on charges of money laundering. The matter was pending for a long time, on which the Supreme Court had directed the Bombay High Court to pronounce its verdict within a week. Deshmukh's lawyers had filed a bail plea before the court citing his health.
It is worth noting that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had leveled corruption allegations against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. At the same time, after these allegations, the CBI had registered a corruption case against Deshmukh, after which the ED was also investigating it by registering a case. Deshmukh was arrested by the ED in November 2021 during the course of the investigation, after which he has been in custody.
In the case registered by the ED against Anil Deshmukh, it has been claimed that Deshmukh misused his position. Deshmukh collected around Rs 4.7 crore from various bars and restaurants in Mumbai. Along with this, it is alleged that Deshmukh provided the wrongly earned money to Shri Sai Educational Institute in Nagpur, an educational trust controlled by his family.
